Pink Oysters are vigorous growers and so are a great choice for beginner cultivators.. like all Oyster mushrooms, they do not require a composted substrate and will grow happily on dead wood, straw, wheat, rice, corn, cotton, coffee waste… practically any dried plant material.
We have had great success growing them on our grow kit products.
They are a true sight to behold, almost looking like a bouquet of flowers when they grow in their characteristic clumps, waving around each other like the petals of a flower.
Being a tropical mushroom in their natural habitat, they do prefer warmer temperatures and high humidity – but we have found it’s not essential for them.
Oyster mushrooms are not only delicious, but also provide the human body with many nutrients and minerals. They are rich in proteins, amino acids – which help to enhance memory and mental development – iron, niacin – which helps to maintain a healthy heart and lower cholesterol – fiber, B Vitamins and Vitamin D.
